The Social Committee of the Student Union at the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, held the ideal student competition with the participation of 100 students from different departments of all teams and academic levels, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Mortada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Implementation, Ms. Neamat Khalifa, Director of Youth Welfare Department, student Habiba Nasser, President of the Faculty Students Union, student Maryam Adel, Vice President of the Union, student Mustafa Mohamed, Secretary of the Social Committee, and student Ahmed Mahmoud, Assistant Secretary of the Committee.
The competition aims to select the ideal male and female student at the college level in the first, second and third places, in order to achieve commendable competition among students.
The competition was based on evaluating students in terms of appreciation, proficiency in Arabic and English, culture and general information, practicing various activities, and good appearance.
The prizes for the competition are set at 1,000 pounds for the first place, 750 pounds for the second place, and 500 pounds for the third place, in addition to certificates of appreciation for all participating students.
Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, expressed her happiness with the fruitful student activities held by the recently elected old and new union during the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022 and praised the students’ keenness on scientific excellence in addition to participating in the various activities offered by the college through the Youth Welfare Department The results of the competition and the names of the winners will be announced successively.
The arbitration committee was formed under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Manal Muharram, Professor of Arabic Language, Prof. Dr. Nadia Hashish, Professor of English Language Department, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Samir Al-Khatib, professor of drama and theater criticism.
