Training courses for nursing staff at Ain Shams University Hospitals

Within the framework of the keenness of Ain Shams University hospitals on continuous training to develop the practical skills of the members of the nursing staff, the central training team for nursing in the university hospitals organized a training course for the members of the nursing staff under the title "Dealing with violence in health facilities" and "a rehabilitation program for new recruits of nursing staff for training them on nursing care in critical places" under the supervision of Prof. Ali Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Tariq Youssef, Executive Director of Hospitals, Dr. Manal Abdel Salam Amin, Director of the Central Administration of Nursing.

         
   
         

The training course focused on defining the types of violence and its causes, how to deal with work pressures to avoid violence with the health team, and ways to apply communication skills to deal with violence methods. It also presented proposals to reduce the phenomenon of violence in health facilities.

While the rehabilitation program for new recruits of nursing staff focused on training on nursing care for intensive care patients, and methods of providing medical care regarding (center line, feeding tube, urinary catheter, aspiration, bedsores, unconscious patient).
