The Faculty of Arts, at Ain Shams University, celebrated the Orphan's Day, which was organized by the Faculty's Youth Welfare Department in cooperation with the Faculty's Student Union represented by the "Hayat" family, under the auspices of Prof. Mahmoud El-Meteini, President of the University, Prof. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Hanan Kamel, Dean of the Faculty, and the implementation of a. Suha Al-Saba, Director of the Youth Welfare Department, and members of the Faculty Student Union, led by the student Helmy Ahmed, President of the Union. The college hosted 20 orphaned children, as a contribution to drawing a smile on their faces and making them happy. With the participation of children in sports and artistic games and competitions, they also gave them some gifts, and they enjoyed playing to the tunes of children's songs.
The celebration of Orphan Day this year comes early on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The celebration of Orphan Day on the part of the “Hayat” student family aims to make them happy, bring joy into their hearts, contain them, and provide them with psychological and social support. The aid was not limited to material assistance only, but also included the provision of a dose of sympathy and tenderness by the Dean of the College, who was keen to meet and embrace them and take memorial photos with them, expressing that it is a source of positive energy within us and within these children who need psychological support before moral, as she called Students to participate in voluntary work and engage in community activities because of their great impact on the development of their social responsibility.
