The UNESCO Club at the Faculty of Education organizes a training workshop on applications of artificial intelligence in education and scientific research

Based on the importance of artificial intelligence technology and its main role in improving the performance and productivity of institutions and its role in understanding data and dealing with it on a large scale and solving many technical problems and dealing with them with superior capabilities, the UNESCO Club organized at the Faculty of Education under the auspices of Prof. Safaa Shehata, Acting Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Alaa El-Din Abdel-Halim, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Fara Hassan, Professor of Curricula and Teaching Methods at the Faculty and Supervisor of the UNESCO Club in the Faculty, a training workshop on artificial intelligence applications in education and scientific research, It was conducted by Dr. Mahmoud Attia, Assistant Professor in the Department of Curricula and Teaching Methods at the Faculty, on Friday, June 2, 2023, through the Microsoft Teams application, in the presence of a large number of faculty staff in Egyptian universities, as well as teachers from all parts of the Republic, and members of the UNESCO Club from all governorates of the Republic.

         
   
         

The axes of the training workshop focused in the first part on the applications of artificial intelligence in the design of educational lessons, and mental maps, as well as designing electronic tests, designing presentations, and in the second part of the workshop, which included applications of artificial intelligence in scientific research, scientific research, reading, and interpretation, making scientific quotations and documenting references.

The workshop included training on most of the various sites in artificial intelligence applications and mechanisms for dealing with them easily and easily, in great interaction with the attendees, and most of the questions of the attendees were answered. The training workshop came out with many recommendations, including the importance of using technology in the educational process, by designing the curriculum electronically and adding video clips that explain scientific experiments in an easy and safe way, to avoid risks in laboratories and benefit from electronic games applications and artificial intelligence games applications in teaching and develop students’ cognitive abilities, taking into account individual differences, to integrate artificial intelligence applications into adult education curricula and tracks in order to achieve mastery of language skills and take into account individual, environmental and cultural differences, to work on expanding training on applications of artificial intelligence programs to include the fields of education, scientific research, and other fields in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development.
