Within the framework of implementing the presidential initiative, a new beginning for building the human being, and under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Ghada Farouk, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the administrative supervision of Major General Hossam El-Sherbiny, Assistant Secretary-General of the University for Sector Affairs.
The Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, in cooperation with the Al-Azhar World Center for Electronic Fatwa at Al-Azhar Sheikhdom, organized a number of awareness lectures entitled "Strengthening National Identity and Supporting the System of Values and Ethics" in the Faculties of "Pharmacy, Science, Special Education, Dentistry, Arts, Engineering, Education, Archaeology and Languages" throughout the month of October.
The seminars were attended by a group of Al-Azhar imams, and Prof. Ghada Farouk, the efforts of the Al-Azhar World Center for Electronic Fatwa, which donated to the university its best experts to deliver a number of awareness seminars that addressed many topics with the aim of "strengthening the national identity of students, introducing them to the urgent issues of the country and how to interact with them correctly, combating rumors and misconceptions and obtaining information and news from reliable sources, as well as combating extremist ideas that are spread through modern social media that young people rely on to obtain information and contribute to shaping their identity.
Her Excellency praised the efforts of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in keeping pace with technological developments and using social media to reach the public in different languages.
The seminars aimed to educate young men and women who are about to get married about the components of a stable and successful family life, mechanisms to support the system of moral values and the cohesion and stability of the Egyptian family and society, in the face of the negative effects of websites that broadcast ideas and values that are not compatible with our societies, traditions, and cultural and religious identity.
