Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zein El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, the Department of Artistic Activity at the General Administration of Youth Care and the Supreme Technical Committee of the University Students Union participated in the art competitions held at the Creativity Festival, the thirteenth season, which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Competition takes place in the artistic fields between public and private universities and academies, under the general supervision of Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for the Education and Students Sector.

The university participated, represented by the Department of Artistic Activity, in the following fields: -

First, the field of plastic arts, where all five plastic fields participated and four fields were promoted to the first competition, and during the period from 1/28/2025 to 2/1/2025, two fields were promoted, namely sculpture and graphics, to obtain the final awards.

The jury in the field of plastic arts was formed by Prof. Osama Mohamed Ali, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University and Director of the Puppet Theater, Artist Ayman Abu Al-Makarem, Director of Cinematography, Artist Omar Toson, Visual Artist, Dr. Murad Darwish, Lecturer, Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University, Dr. Gamal Al-Khashen, Lecturer, Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University.

Secondly, the field of religious chanting and hymns, and the university participated in the field of chanting and hymns with the university team led by Maestro Mahmoud Wahid, where the special show for the university team for chanting and hymns was held on 2/2 at the Youth City Theater in Abu Qir, Alexandria, and the show won the admiration of the jury consisting of the chanter Mahmoud Yassin Al-Tihami, the chanter Ali Al-Halbawi, and the chanter Imad Nirouz.

Thirdly, the field of short films, the university participated with three films with the following names: - A Bottle in the Desert by student Tarek Mohamed Sayed, Faculty of Business, Breaths of Dust by student Nagham Atef - Faculty of Business, and Wissa Wassef by student Fatima Al-Sayyid Mahmoud - Faculty of Specific Education. The jury praised the university’s participation and the submitted films. The jury was formed by Prof. Dr. Ghada Jabara, director Akram Farid, and director Hussein Bakr.

Fourth, the field of specialist theater, and the university participated in the specialist theater competition in which colleges and institutes specialized in the field of theater participate, as the university team of specialists was formed from the Department of Drama and Theater Criticism in the Faculty of Arts and the students of educational media in the Theater Department in the Faculty of Specific Education, and the theatrical performance “Waqi’at Beit Al-Shabrawi” was presented based on the theatrical text “Bir Al-Salam” by the great writer Saad El-Din Wahba and directed by Mohamed El-Hadary, and the jury was formed from: - Professor Dr. Ayman El-Shiwi, Dean of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, artist Sameh El-Serity, the great artist Sohair El-Marshady, and the great theater director Essam El-Sayed, and the performance “Waqi’at Beit Al-Shabrawi” was presented at the Ministry of Youth Theater on 2/10/2025.

Fifth: The field of specialized music, the university participated through students of the Faculty of Specific Education, Department of Music, where the training and leadership was provided by Professor Dr. Ahmed Salem, Professor at the Faculty of Specific Education, and the show was presented on 2/12/2025 at the Youth City Theater in Abu Qir, and the show was well received by the competition jury consisting of Professor Dr. Ezz El-Din Taha, Professor of Music Composition and Theories at the Higher Institute of Music, the great artist Nadia Mustafa, and the great artist Tarek Fouad.

Sixth: The field of amateur and choral music, where the university participated in these two fields through students of the university's various faculties, and the training was provided by Maestro Mahmoud Sami, where the concert was held on Monday 2/12/2025 at the Youth City in Abu Qir, Alexandria, and the committee was formed of: Professor Dr. Ezz El-Din Taha, Professor of Music Composition and Theories at the Higher Institute of Music, the great artist Nadia Mustafa, and the great artist Tarek Fouad.

Seventh: The field of musical theater, where the university participated with the theatrical performance “Adham Al-Sharqawi” written by Mahmoud Gamal Hadini and directed by Mustafa Raafat, through the formation of a team of university students from different faculties. The committee praised the theatrical performance, and the committee was formed of: Professor Dr. Adel Abdo, Professor Dr. Abdullah Saad, and artist Safaa Abu Al-Saud.

Eighth: The field of folk arts, where the university concluded its participation with the folk arts team that presented three theatrical tableaux designed and directed by Munadil Antar, trained by Ahmed Rami, where the tableaux came in the following order, where a tableau was designed to survey the crescent of Ramadan in the Fatimid era, a tableau of the Arish dabke, and a tableau of that issue.

The committee was formed by Prof. Magdy Saber, Prof. Atef Awad, and Prof. Nahla Emam. The committee praised the artistic performance and extended its greetings and appreciation to Ain Shams University, represented by Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of the University, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed Hamza, Assistant Secretary of the University for Education and Student Affairs, University Youth Care, and Artistic Activity Management, for their keenness to provide training places and the university's keenness to provide trainers and designers who transformed amateur university students into professionals.
