The Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, was established in 1942, by Royal Decree No. (93) for 1950, as a higher agricultural institute in Shebin El-Kom, Menoufia Governorate.

In 1952, the institute was transformed into the Faculty of Agriculture affiliated to the University of "Ibrahim Pasha", whose name was changed in 1954 to "Ain Shams University" in the gardens of the ancient palace of Muhammad Ali.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, with its successive generations of graduates and professors, occupies a distinguished position and is a destination for education and scientific research in Egypt, the Middle East and Africa.

Throughout its scientific career, the Faculty has always sought to develop its programs and courses in accordance with the changes in the labor market and the tremendous technological development in the world.
