Unit objectives:
Accurate examinations and research for parasitic diseases that are unparalleled in hospitals, centers and other departments, so that they are considered a specialized center in the College of Medicine and receive all patients referred from abroad.
Conducting advanced scientific research in parasitology for the use and development of diagnostic methods.
Preparation of antigens from various parasites for use in conducting tests.
Dissemination of advanced scientific research in the field of diagnosis, follow-up and follow-up development in international centers.
Contributing to the training of assistant teachers, teaching assistants and postgraduate students in the unit.

The unit produced antigens prepared from parasites as well as farms to isolate parasites in order to assist researchers in the field of parasitology to conduct scientific research.

The unit trained students participating in the annual medical convoy of the Faculty of Medicine in Fayoum Governorate to examine urine and stool samples for parasites.
