Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers and the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University, as part of the Ministry of Health's efforts to achieve integration between its affiliated entities and the expertise of Egyptian universities, with the aim of improving the quality of health services provided to citizens.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, and Dr. Karim El-Batouti, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, and leaders of the Ministry and the University.
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships with Egyptian universities to benefit from their scientific and training capabilities in the health field, stressing that this cooperation contributes to the development of medical services and scientific research, and raising the efficiency of medical and technical cadres, which is positively reflected in the level of quality of health services provided in the centers and hospitals affiliated with the Ministry.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the protocol aims to develop the level of health services by providing specialized medical cadres from the faculty members of the Faculty of Dentistry at Ain Shams University, noting that these cadres will work in various departments of the Specialized Dental Center in Zahraa Nasr City, including morning and evening clinics, internal departments, intensive care units and emergencies, noting that the protocol includes implementing training courses and workshops to qualify doctors working at the center, with priority given to young resident doctors to register them in the college's postgraduate programs. Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added that the protocol allows contracting with faculty members with various academic degrees to provide specialized medical services in the field of dentistry, in addition to training doctors working at the center and transferring scientific expertise to them, stressing that the center will be committed to providing medical equipment and supplies, in addition to equipping clinics in the best possible way to ensure the provision of high-quality medical services, with the introduction of precise specializations in the field of dentistry to enhance the efficiency of the services provided. For his part, Dr. Mohamed Diaa, President of Ain Shams University, praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Health to improve the quality of life of citizens, pointing out that the establishment and development of specialized medical centers reflects the Ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary equipment and devices to provide integrated medical services that meet the needs of patients and visitors to those centers.
