A trilateral cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Agriculture, the General Authority for Adult Education and the Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation

Within the framework of the serious partnership between the General Authority for Adult Education and the Supreme Council of Universities towards the participation of university students and higher institutes in the national literacy project, and under the auspices of Ain Shams University headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, has signed a tripartite protocol between the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University and the General Authority for Adult Education and the Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation in Shubra Al-Khaimah.

Dr. Ashour Omari, Head of the Adult Education Authority, signed a tripartite protocol with Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Dean of the Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation, in the presence of Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Khatib, Chairman of the Institute’s Board of Directors, and a constellation of faculty members at the Faculty of Agriculture and the Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdel Hamid pointed out the importance of the illiteracy file in the issue of development, as it is a key factor in achieving the goals of sustainable development, pointing out that the university plays an integrated role in coordination and cooperation between its colleges, institutes, ministries and relevant authorities to confront the problem of illiteracy, stressing the importance of the university’s role with civil society And NGOs in eliminating illiteracy.

He explained that this tripartite cooperation gives the student of the Higher Institute for Agricultural Cooperation the same material benefits that Ain Shams University students receive, as well as its dealings with the Adult Education Authority through the institute when the student participates in the National Literacy Project at the Public Authority for Adult Education.

In the same context, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, affirmed that the illiteracy eradication project is one of the top priorities of national issues, which confirms the imperative to make the utmost efforts to confront and get rid of them, noting that this protocol is to consolidate and complete what exists between the College of Agriculture and the Higher Agricultural Institute Through fruitful and constructive academic cooperation during the past years, pointing out that the Faculty of Agriculture has not and will not spare no effort in providing all forms of support and assistance to confront this issue.

Where Dr. Ashour Omri emphasized that the authority will provide the educational process requirements, review and approve lists of students enrolled in classes, and conduct training courses for students on how to deal with illiteracy in cooperation with the Adult Education Center at Ain Shams
