Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab Vice President of Ain Shams University for Postgraduate Studies and Research opened the second international conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy, entitled Future directions in the development of pharmaceutical education.
The conference will be held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Abdel Wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Badawy Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Professor of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, stressed that we are striving to develop our honest profession to preserve the future of our students and ensure that they compete at all levels so we have to pay attention to developing our educational regulations and research.
He pointed out that the graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy in the Arab World are responsible for the development of pharmacological education, the number of admissions from the huge numbers, as well as the graduates who practice other professions and those who are entering the profession. He also stressed that the time has come for our regulations, programs and research to converge to have a close Arab pharmacy education and to exchange modern methods in education, exams and evaluation.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Hakim Netouf, Secretary-General of the Scientific Society of Pharmacy Faculties in the Arab World, expressed his great pleasure in this conference in order to enhance the profession of pharmacy to return to its proper status and enhance the role of pharmacist in health care, especially in hospitals and clinical pharmacy.
He added that modern technologies are the right way to develop health services, from the correct diagnosis of the disease to the treatment of the transition to the development of new forms of pharmaceutical more appropriate to use and more efficient to reach the therapeutic goal.
Abdul Hakim noted the importance of nanotechnology in the development of innovative treatment for diseases that have historically been intractable to treatment, such as cancer and immune diseases, as well as the vegetation spread throughout the Arab world, an opportunity we must invest in the creation of medicines with therapeutic efficiency, which need further research and investigation to reach the formula of a suitable pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Maha Abdul Ghani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, noted that this conference is a special opportunity for pharmacists to acquire knowledge from specialized scientists in the field of pharmacy. She added that the conference is attended by 350 participants and aims to be a point of contact between Arab pharmacists to transfer experiences in the field of education Pharmacist and pharmacy practice as well as pharmaceutical industries and scientific research aimed at developing the pharmaceutical industry and improving community service and reaching achievable recommendations.
"We hope that this conference will be a starting point for the development of pharmaceutical education and pharmaceutical services, the development of pharmaceutical industries and drug discovery research, for a better life for humanity and services provided by science and pharmaceutical research to confirm the role of the noble pharmacist.
It is worth mentioning that many selected professors and deans of the faculties of pharmacy in Egypt, the Arab world, America, England, Germany and Japan will lecture at the conference. It will be held on the sidelines of the conference three workshops and an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies and scientific devices.
Faculty and postgraduate students from various public, private and private universities will attend the conference. The conference will also be presented with a prize for the best research poster.
It is worth mentioning that the abstracts of the research presented will be published in a special issue of the conference in the Faculty International Journal.
