Ain Shams University honors outstanding athletic students

Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice-President of Ain Shams University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Prof. Dr. Khalid Kadri Dean of the Faculty of Commerce honored a number of students of the Faculty of outstanding athletes who have advanced sports centers in the world and at the level of the Republic. The students are Mohammed Al-Laqani, who won second place in the world championship Karate and Hisham Mohammed, winner of the first place in the championship of the Republic of athletics for special abilities and Mohammed Refaat, second place in the championship of the Republic of tennis for people with special abilities.

This came in the presence of Mr. Samir Abdul Nasser, Secretary General of the University and Prof. Dr. Gehan Ragab, Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Hiam Wahba, Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Hanan Hussein, Director of the Special Needs Student Unit.

Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid explained that the University is keen to honor its outstanding students in various fields, including students with special abilities. The University also provides them with all means of support and care to ensure their continued success and excellence, in line with the State's tendency to pay attention to the special abilities category.

Prof. Dr. Khalid Kadri pointed out that the Faculty of Commerce has been keen to launch a unit to support students with special abilities to ensure their adaptation to the university environment and employ all the material and human resources available to meet their needs and develop their skills.

He added that the unit aims to provide psychological support for them, discover their talents and abilities and to present successful and distinctive models and provide them to the community.
