The celebration began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the Republican peace, and then the speech of Prof. Sahar Moussa, in which she emphasized the college’s keenness to keep abreast of all internal and external medical events in light of the application of preventive measures against the emerging corona virus

She indicated the need to educate society about diabetes due to the increase in the number of diabetes patients recently, which was not limited to adults only, but the percentage has become very large in children and youth. We want a healthy generation to benefit its society.

Prof. Dr. Hayam Refaat explained that through the 3 basic security axes (nutrition, sports, medicine) we can regulate blood sugar levels, stressing that a diabetic patient must live with the disease and be able to control it through medicines and food regulation.

It is worth noting that on the sidelines of the celebration, an awareness caravan for diabetes was set up inside the college campus to measure blood sugar and blood pressure, and to provide the necessary awareness to students and employees with the distribution of publications about the disease and ways to protect it and how to coexist with it and prevent its complications
