The Ministers of Higher Education and Communications are following up the implementation of the electronic examination system

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a meeting to follow up on the implementation of the electronic examination system, the automation of university hospitals and the digitization of universities, through video conference technology.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of the digital universities project in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the aim of converting Egyptian universities into digital universities and developing their communications infrastructure. To meet its requirements in achieving digital transformation.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar affirmed the political leadership’s interest in the national project for the automation of university hospitals, which aims to raise the efficiency of medical and therapeutic services provided to patients, indicating that this saves time and effort for hospital workers, in accordance with the mandates of the President of the Republic in cooperation between the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Communications and information technology.

On his part, Dr. Amr Talaat explained that there is permanent and continuous cooperation between the Ministries of Communications and Information Technology, Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement a number of projects that are integrated to take advantage of the opportunities provided by digital technologies to develop the university education system and develop the educational process, especially in light of the political leadership’s interest in the importance of digital transformation of education, considering implementing the strategy of building a digital Egypt.

Dr. Amr Talaat pointed to the most prominent areas of cooperation between the two ministries, which include the implementation of the automated testing system project, and the applications of smart universities with the aim of converting universities into digital universities and raising the efficiency of their technological infrastructure, as well as implementing the project of automating university hospitals.

The meeting dealt with the procedures for completing the technological infrastructure in Egyptian universities and discussing the needs of universities in terms of supporting them with advanced server devices, developing and raising the efficiency of the internal network of the buildings of some colleges in public universities, raising the speed of the Internet within universities, and establishing specialized laboratories in the field of Internet of things.
