Ain Shams University participates in the Eighth International Exhibition of Universities and Training, amid a heavy student turnout

The activities of the eighth session of the International Exhibition and Conference on Universities, Training and Grants EDU GATE 2021 under the title "Higher Education ... Ten Years From Now", in which Ain Shams University participates, has started, and the forum witnessed an inspection tour of Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Ali Shams El-Din, President of the Forum, and former President of Benha University, and a number of university presidents.

During his inspection tour, Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of holding exhibitions and conferences such as (Edu Gate), with the provision of appropriate promotional and marketing opportunities to display the human and material capabilities that academic institutions possess, and in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of these institutions in attracting more students to join them, and increases study opportunities In our country, in addition to his role in each institution improving all aspects of its work in order to have more competitiveness in such important exhibitions.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, expressed his thanks to those in charge of the forum, praising the continuous development witnessed by the field of higher education in Egypt. El-Metini also made an inspection tour of the Ain Shams University wing at the exhibition, which is supervised by the education and student affairs sector at the university headed by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and the International Cooperation Sector under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Vice President of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector at the University, in which the University offers more than 40 international educational programs in various educational fields, With the participation of 16 faculties, which has witnessed a large turnout since the beginning of the day from parents and students looking for excellent educational opportunities.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud explained that the Ain Shams University pavilion is witnessing a heavy student turnout due to the good reputation the university enjoys at the local, regional and global levels, pointing out that this is not the first time for the university to participate in this event, but what distinguishes this year is Entering the electronic form imposed by the circumstances of the Corona pandemic, as the QR Code service has been developed, which is a code for study programs offered by the university, enabling students to view all the details of study programs online, indicating that the university witnessed during the last period the introduction of new programs and Faculties such as The Faculty of Archeology and Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of International Relations for Postgraduate Studies, as the existing study programs have developed and become more linked to the labor market, in addition to the fact that there are double certificates granted in cooperation between Ain Shams University and foreign universities, the university is also moving strongly to fourth-generation universities that integrate applied scientific research and converting them to products on the ground or emerging companies to serve the community.

In his speech during the opening session, Prof. Dr. Ali Shams, the former president of Benha University and president of the Edu Gate Forum, affirmed that the development in the field of higher education has made global competition in attracting students unprecedented, which leads us to develop our mechanisms for communication and competition for the segment of foreign students and marketing our institutions, referring to That there is a great boom in the Egyptian higher education institutions, which should not leave the arena empty to attract students to study abroad, with all the opportunities that the state provides for learning at home, and from here comes the importance of the forum, extending thanks to all the supporting bodies of the forum, including Ain Shams University and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, spoke about the federation’s role in supporting Arab universities, discussing the most prominent activities undertaken by the federation in this context.

Edu gate, which will continue until Thursday, March 11th, is expected to witness the implementation of the virtual exhibition experience, which will give students an opportunity to learn about everything new in the Egyptian higher education system, which has witnessed a great and unprecedented expansion in recent years.

A large number of Egyptian universities, branches of foreign universities, and universities from more than 10 countries participated in the events, including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Russia, Croatia, and Jordan.
