Alsun Ain Shams wipes out the illiteracy of one thousand three hundred and twenty-eight citizens

Al-Alsun Faculty students at Ain Shams University were able to eradicate illiteracy of 1,328 citizens in the January 2021 session, and thus the faculty won third place at the level of university Faculties who participated in the illiteracy eradication project adopted by the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Metini, President of the University, supervised by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the faculty, Prof.Dr. Youmna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.

It is noteworthy that Ain Shams University topped the ranking of Egyptian universities in the field of integrating its students in the literacy project according to the results of the January 2021 session, as Ain Shams University students were able to eradicate illiteracy of 7995 citizens according to the result of the January 2021 cycle, and this is the second time in a row after the issuance Ain Shams University for Egyptian universities in the field of literacy last October.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that this achievement is the culmination of the efforts made by the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Metini, President of the University, supervising and supporting Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hisham Temraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Adult Education headed by Prof. Dr. Ashour Amari, and the University's Adult Education Center headed by Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Center and General Coordinator of Ain Shams University for the project; In terms of training students and qualifying them to work in the field of literacy, in addition to the important coordinating role that the Adult Education Center plays with the literacy units in the faculties participating in the project, namely: Girls, Arts, Law, Commerce, Al-Alsun, Education and Quality Education.

Prof. Dr. Yumna Safwat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained that this honorable result for the grandchildren of “Rifaa” comes after a number of activities, the most prominent of which was the launch of an enlightening convoy in cooperation with the Executive Authority for Adult Education, in accordance with the protocol signed between the university and the General Authority for Literacy and Adult Education headed by Dr. Ashour Al-Amari, and Al-Waili district to urge citizens to participate in its activities, which resulted in the response of a large number of citizens to participate in it, and passed the tests with the help of faculty students who performed their national duty towards members of the surrounding community.
