Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University won the second place in the Best Innovation Competition at the level of the University’s Faculties for Innovation at the University’s Scientific Conference entitled “Fourth Generation Universities between Reality and Ambitions,” which was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. And headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and President of the Conference, Prof. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Vice President of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Chairman of the Competition Evaluation Committee, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Temraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
The participation of the Innovation Unit at Faculty of Al-Alsun came on the first day of the conference under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Radwa Kotaite, Director of the Faculty's Innovation Center, in two parts: The first was presented by the first place winner in the Faculty innovation competition, BA level, Esraa Gamal, a graduate of the English Language Department, in a session entitled "Innovation Path in the Humanities Sector".
In it, the winner presented her innovative idea to teach non-Latin languages such as Arabic, Japanese, Hebrew and others, using innovative cards and animated films linking the shape of the letter with its sound.
The winner has already started registering her innovation, creating a commercial register for her, and promoting her idea in an actual application of the meaning of qualifying students and graduates to be innovative entrepreneurs.
The second participation came in the form of repeating the first, second and second place winners in the first innovation competition of Faculty of Al-Alsun, “Alsuniun Innovate” for their winning ideas in the Innovation Exhibition that is held on the sidelines of the conference, where the winners present their innovations, screen films of their innovative ideas and talk about their enjoyable experience and the extent to which they benefit from participating in the conference. In the workshops organized by the University's Innovation Support Unit, to familiarize the participants in the competition with how to transform their ideas into projects through which they can become entrepreneurs and participate in building the economy of their country.
The presentations were presented by the first place winner, Esra Gamal, the idea of non-Latin language learning cards, the Freelancer team that won the second place, the idea of a free translator service site, and the Elas-Techs team, who won the second place, equally on the idea of an Arabic-Russian electronic dictionary serving all language learners. Russian by Arabs and translators to and from the Russian language.
