The team of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, won the first place and the innovation prize in the first Cairo Electric Car Rally, which was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. While the University of Suez ranked second, followed by the 10th of Ramadan.
Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University explained that Ain Shams University engineering team consists of 12 students who succeeded in manufacturing an electric car under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Magid Ghoneim, Director of the Innovation Center at the faculty, has managed to overcome teams from nine universities with 315 students.
On the stages of the race, Magid Ghunaim said they were formed from the first four stages of the car less energy consumption, then the race speed of 100 meters only, and the third of the autocross, and the fourth is to measure the tolerance of 25 kilometers.
