Ain Shams University organizes a seminar on advancing scientific missions in England, Canada and Europe

Under the auspices of prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Research, The Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University organized a seminar entitled "Advancing scientific missions in England, Canada, and European countries" via video conference technology using the Zoom app.

The seminar hosted Dr. Yasser Hassan, a researcher in the Department of Physics, Oxford University in Britain and Toronto University, Canada, he is one of the researchers working in the field of photovoltaic energy and nanomaterials and he has published many research papers in prestigious international journals, including one of the papers published in the journal Nature last March,

Dr. Mahmoud Al Damasi, a researcher at the Berlin Helmholtz Institute for Energy and Materials in Germany, participated as one of the speakers in the seminar, to present some details of the learned missions in Europe. Yasser Hassan and Dr. Mahmoud Al Damasi is also part of the founding team of the Education Hub website to publish scholarships and assist researchers in writing various scholarship application papers.

And Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Ain Shams University of Postgraduate Studies and Research, said that the seminar comes within the framework of Ain Shams University's keenness to encourage faculty staff to obtain scholarships for scientific assignments abroad, to exchange experiences and skills in various research fields with the best universities in the world, and he added that these Skills The university will be enriched with new skills that contribute to the advancement of the university at the international level.

The seminar dealt with some important topics related to the daily problems facing the researcher, the skills required to succeed in scientific research, how to choose the field of research, the supervisor and the university, and preparing the schedule and agenda for the researcher to ensure the success of the scientific mission abroad.

The seminar also provided important steps to achieve effective communication that ensures cooperation with prominent researchers in various research fields.

Finally, models of the method of applying for scientific assignments and correspondence with the supervisors were presented, then a presentation of the various sites and sources of places to obtain scholarships for scientific assignments for post-doctoral research.

Dr. Abdullah Sami, General Supervisor of The Scholarship Welfare Office at Ain Shams University, said that the seminar dealt with important topics that help to develop successful strategies that pave the way for success and excellence in scientific research for faculty staff at Ain Shams University, and added that the continuation of these seminars contributes to the creation of a new generation of faculty staff and researchers At the university, they will have the ability to compete and work in international projects with scientists and researchers in various research fields. The seminar also discussed some important inquiries for faculty staff related to scientific missions in various research fields at Ain Shams University, which also dealt with some of the scientific missions programs provided by the central administration for the missions in their various advertisements.
