Ain Shams University participates in the International Conference on Geographic Information

The Saudi Geographical Society and King Saud University will hold the International Geographic Information Conference 2021 AD, in a scientific partnership with Ain Shams University and the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, during the period (March 29-31) through Zoom technology, and the conference is chaired by Prof. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Dossary, President of the Saudi Geographical Society.

The opening speech of the conference will be attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayman Mustafa Abdel Wahab Saleh - Vice President of Ain Shams University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.

Ain Shams University is participating in a workshop in the conference in cooperation with the National Authority for Remote Sensing, in which Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ayman Saleh on the fourth generation universities and their role in the sustainable development of society. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bayoumi Zahran, head of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, in the joint workshop on the authority’s role in sustainable development and support for innovation and entrepreneurship, professors from Ain Shams University and the Sensor Authority will participate in the workshop.

Prof. Dr. Rasha Hamed Bondok - Professor of Geography and Geographic Information Systems at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, also chaired the Digital Media Committee for the conference.

Ain Shams University also participates in the virtual exhibition of the conference with a presentation that deals with the university's study programs related to the conference themes, and the professional diploma specializing in remote sensing and geographic information systems in partnership between Ain Shams University and the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences.

The International Geographic Information Conference aims to provide a scientific environment to discuss developments and future trends in geographic information science techniques and their applications in various fields. Speakers and researchers from 10 Arab and foreign countries will participate in the conference: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Libya, Morocco, Germany, Spain, Italy and the United States of America.
