The conclusion of the activities of competitions for memorizing the Qur’an and Hadith at Ain Shams University

In light of the interest of Ain Shams University in working to spread Islamic culture and renew religious discourse, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the University Students’ Union (Higher Cultural Committee) organized a conservation and refining competition The Qur’an, the Prophetic hadiths competition, and the Islamic culture competition, part of which was held online, in implementation of the precautionary measures principle, which the Education Affairs Sector headed by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud is interested in implementing in order to ensure the safety of students and without hampering student activities.

The competitions were held in the faculties of education, medicine, law and the university city, and the faculties of medicine, engineering, pharmacy, dentistry, tongues, science, commerce, education, nursing, agriculture, girls, law and literature participated in the competition, and out of a total of 60 prizes, four prizes were withheld in the five parts, six prizes were withheld in a third of the Qur’an, and the Faculty of Medicine With 9 awards, the Faculty of Engineering 11 awards, Education 7 awards, Commerce 5 awards, Girls and Nursing 4 awards, Science 3 awards, Alsun, pharmacy and dentistry 2 awards, and Agriculture 1 award.

         
   
         

In the field of memorizing and reciting the entire Qur’an, the student Ihab Karem Mahmoud, Faculty of Medicine, won the first place, the student Abdul Rahman Muhammad Makki, the Faculty of Pharmacy, and the third place, the student Bayan Abdel Razek Shehadeh, the Faculty of Medicine. In second place was the student Sarah Khaled Abdel Wahab from the Faculty of Medicine, the student Adham Gamil from the Faculty of Medicine in the third place, the student Arwa Ehab Hassan from the Faculty of Medicine in the third place, and the student Ali Muhammad Ali Omar in the Faculty of Medicine in the second place, and in the third place, the student Fatima Saleh Abdel-Sabour, Faculty of Education, and in memorizing five parts of the Qur’an, the student Maha Shawki Ali Hassan from the Faculty of Medicine won the first place. Nuclear Talks Student Israa Magdy Ahmed, Faculty of Girls, won first place, student Khaled Abdel Nabi Abd Rabbo, Faculty of Dentistry, won second place, and Nisreen Negm El Din, Faculty of Education, won the third place.

In the field of Islamic culture, the student Abdul Rahman Muhammad from the Faculty of Engineering won the first place, and the student Khaled Abdel Nabi Abd Rabbo from the Faculty of Dentistry, the second place and the third place was won by the student Abdullah Hisham Hussein from the Faculty of Engineering.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of the University, promised that all winning students would be honored and given valuable material rewards, certificates of appreciation and souvenirs.

         
   
         

The competition was judged by elite sheikhs of the Ministry of Endowments in light of the continuous cooperation between the ministry and Ain Shams University, they are Sheikh Watani Ma’bad Atallah, Sheikh Mahmoud Hosseini Sayed, and Sheikh Yasser Hassan Mohammed. The competition was held, under the supervision of Muhammad Al-Khatib, Secretary of the University’s Assistant, and a Muhammad Al-Sharqawi, Director General of Youth Welfare and Prof. Mohamed Taha, Director of the Cultural Activity Department.
