Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, stated that the exams began in most of the university’s faculties amid strict precautionary measures, as 180,000 take their exams in the various faculties of the university, in addition to 30 thousand graduate students.
He explained that given that this is the third time that exams have been held in light of the Corona virus, the teams responsible for managing exams at Ain Shams University have become more professional, and more harmonious in applying precautionary measures through an interconnected system in constant contact and managed in a way that has standardization.
A.D. Abdel-Fattah Saud confirmed that the university’s higher committee for precautionary measures, headed by His Excellency, and the vice-chairman of the committee, Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the membership of all faculties for environmental affairs is in permanent session, and follows up on the application of all precautionary measures during exams, from achieving social distancing, measuring temperature at the gates and providing good ventilation in the committees, as well as dividing exams over more than one period Exams per day, with full commitment to the muzzle by students, faculty and observers.
He pointed out that isolation rooms were allocated in cases of suspected coronavirus and ambulances were provided, with full attention to all civil protection procedures, including fire trucks and fire-handling equipment, and the university paid special attention to university cities, and rules were established for how to deal with cases of suspicion, injury and sterilization methods Pointing out that vaccination is underway for everyone who works in university cities and for students residing there.
Dr. Saoud praised the awareness of the students, as he stressed that during his inspection tours of the examination committees in the various faculties, he noticed that the students had become more aware and committed to the precautionary measures, pointing out that the university organized many events to spread awareness of the need to implement precautionary measures.
Finally, Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, said that daily reports are being prepared for the Minister of Higher Education on the conduct of exams and suspicious cases, stressing that the situation so far is very reassuring.
