Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University of Education and Student Affairs, honored nine of the winning international students in the first competition for talents, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir, Executive Director of the International Relations and Academic Cooperation Sector, Prof. Dr. Sherwat Al-Ahmadi, Director of the Department of Immigrants, Visiting Professors, Prof. Dr. Nagy Abdel Moamen, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Al-Sutohi, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Karim El-Batouty, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Heba Allah Al-Saeed, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abu Khalaf , Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs , Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, Director of Expatriates Department at the Faculty of Specific Education and former Dean of the Faculty, and the officials of the units in the faculties.
During the honoring speech given by Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, in both Arabic and English, indicated the university administration’s interest in developing and refining students’ talents, which distinguishes a graduate of Ain Shams University from others, and stressed the importance of integrating international students with their Egyptian peers through various student events and competitions to achieve cultural and social exchange among them, explaining The Education and Student Affairs Sector has been keen to support international students at the university on an equal basis with their Egyptian peers, and to provide financial incentives for talented international students.
Prof. Dr. Shahira Samir thanked the university administration, and the education and students sector for the continuous support and harmonious work under the umbrella of the university administration for the benefit of international students.
She also referred to the organization of the first competition for talents through the Administration of expatriates via the Internet, which included the participation of students with their original artwork, including paintings, drawings, photography, artistic performances, playing musical instruments and singing. The works submitted were judged by specialized professors in the Faculty of Specific Education under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, Director of the Department of Immigrants at the faculty.

It is worth noting that 25 students participated in nearly 50 artworks, and after examining the works by the judging panel of professors at the Faculty of Specific Education, the results were announced.
