The report indicated that this award comes within the initiatives of the ISESCO Center for the Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers, through an expressive presentation that the student accomplishes through a short video clip, directed by a creative artistic director, based on a text edited in the standard Arabic language (poetry, prose, article, or short story).
The report stated that the aim of the award is to stimulate creativity and production in Arabic among non-native Arabic language students, highlight the universality of the Arabic language and achieve integration between the educational and cultural dimensions, as well as stimulate the self-development of language skills through creative writing and expressive speech.
The report indicated that the nominated works must be in one of the following topics: learning after the pandemic, prevention is better than cure, cultural diversity, technology and the future, and the award is given to three winners from each of the different age groups (children, boys and girls, and youth), where Each winner in the youth category receives two thousand US dollars, the boys and girls category receives one thousand five hundred dollars, and the children category receives one thousand dollars, in addition to the awarding of certificates of appreciation from ISESCO to the winners.
The report added that it is required to receive the award: that the candidate be a student of the nationality of a non-Arab country, and that the Arabic language is not his first language, that the work is nominated through the educational institution in which the student studies, that the educational institution nominate only one work, and that the video presentation should not exceed 3 minutes for the children’s category, 4 minutes for the boys and girls category, and 5 minutes for the youth category, in addition to the video being produced in a creative artistic direction and not having been published or nominated for another competition, and the video must be accompanied by the text edited by the student.
