The Ninth International Conference on Hematology and Marrow Transplantation, Faculty of Medicine, launches

The Ninth Annual International Conference of the Egyptian Society of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation of the Hematology and Marrow Transplant Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, was launched and it will last for two days, June 31, and July 1st, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health Affairs, Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Moussa, Professor of Hematology, Internal Medicine, and Bone Marrow Transplantation, Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and the president of the conference, explained that this is the ninth edition of the conference, which is considered one of the largest international conferences in this field, and it has accredited hours from the American Academic Association, where it is given 18 credit hours, which represents a great value at international conferences.

He added that the conference deals with new and recent developments in the field of treatment of benign and malignant blood diseases and tumors, and new drugs in the treatment of blood diseases, in addition to discussing new methods of treatment in the procedures of marrow transplantation from an external donor, autologous marrow transplantation or from a donor, a consensus text to everything related to blood diseases in general, through a number of sessions, during which a group of international and Arab researchers and speakers speak over the two days.

         
   
         

He explained that the conference is divided into a direct attendance part in which nearly 500 participants participate, and another part via an electronic platform for the activities of the conference, following precautionary measures, and so far more than 5,000 participation requests have been received to attend the conference (online).

16 international doctors will participate in the conference, in addition to a group of consultants and professors of hematology from universities (Cairo, Mansoura, Menoufia, Alexandria, Tanta, Sohag, Assiut, Suez Canal), the National Cancer Institute, Nasser Institute and Sheikh Zayed Specialized Institute, in addition to participation from Maadi Military Hospital, and the Police Hospital and the International Medical Center, in addition to participations from different countries from England, the United States of America and the Arab countries from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
