Faculty of Girls launches the first week of science

The Dean of the Faculty of Girls inaugurated the activities of the Science Week, which is held under the title A Creative Generation: Requirements, Dimensions and Prospects. She explained that the Science Week is a realistic model for concerted efforts between all sectors and departments of the college, as its activities include a number of exhibitions and seminars organized by the community service and environmental development sector.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Hisham Tamraz, Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ruqaiya Shalaby, Dean of the Faculty of Girls, inaugurated the activities of the Science Week, which is held under the title A Creative Generation: Requirements, Dimensions and Prospects, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Amira Shaheen, Vice Dean of Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, Major General Nasr Salem at Nasser Military Academy, and a group of department heads. The week's activities will continue until July 28.

During her speech, Prof. Dr. Ruqaiya Shalaby said that the science week organized by the faculty is a scientific epic and a realistic model for concerted efforts between all the faculty’s sectors and departments.The week's activities include a number of exhibitions, cultural events and seminars organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs sector.

The Education and Student Affairs Sector also participates in first-of-its-kind events, where a number of student innovations, seminars and lectures are presented, and hosting a number of eminent personalities who contribute to the development and development of students’ skills.

She also praised the quality of all employees of the Women's Faculty, as the faculty achieved many achievements during the past period despite the conditions of the Corona pandemic that swept the world, including the faculty's issuance of three new scientific research journals and the faculty's journal obtaining the highest evaluation from the Supreme Council of Universities, in addition to the interest in transferring all Courses into electronic courses and interest in hybrid education.

Prof. Dr. Amira Shaheen pointed out that the conference’s activities come from Egypt’s 2030 strategy, which is based on investing in human energy and empowering women and developing them to keep pace with developments and enhance the competitive advantage of all state institutions, which is reflected in Egypt’s leading role at various levels, to meet the needs of the present and keep pace with future developments.

Prof. Dr. Mai Helmy explained that the developments witnessed by the world depend on innovation in scientific research and creativity in various fields, and given that the fourth generation universities are concerned with creativity and continuous innovations as well as continuing education, from here came the title of Knowledge Week.. A Creative Generation.. Requirements and Dimensions.

This conference is one of the student activities that the university pays great attention to as part of its strategic plan to emphasize the importance and enrichment of student activities.

This conference comes to reinforce the importance of work and cooperation in order to develop, nurture and support student creativity, and the ambitious thinkers and visionaries of students, experts and stakeholders in this field participate in this conference to come up with effective recommendations that can be achieved at the academic level and at the level of student activities.

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, a number of students who excelled in providing literacy services to large numbers of illiterates were honored, followed by a concert.
