New Crimes and the Family... A seminar at the Faculty of Education

Proceeding from the university’s role in educating its children, and the role of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology in studying and analyzing contemporary societal problems to contribute to solving them and raising awareness of the causes and consequences of these problems and mechanisms to avoid their occurrence in the future. The Department of Philosophy and Sociology at the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University held a symposium entitled (New Crimes and the Family)

     
 
     

The symposium was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University and headed by Prof. Dr. Amal Shams, and that was through the Thames application, and the symposium was coordinated by Dr. Heba Mustafa, teacher at the Department of Philosophy and Sociology

The seminar revolved around several societal axes, including: the importance of the family, the impact of globalization and the Internet, the networked society and the characteristics of communication networks and how to deal with them, the potentials of the networked society affecting the family, domestic violence and its various forms, causes and motives of domestic violence, the effects of domestic violence on the individual, family and society, ways prevention of domestic violence.

An open discussion took place with the students about new crimes, how to confront them, protect society from them, and the lessons learned from them to prevent and deal with family problems in the future.
