The Executive Director of Information Technology at Ain Shams University, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Abdul Aziz, announced the agreement with Microsoft to start launching distinctive services for students of Faculty of Commerce. He confirmed that the inquiries from students and the definition of these services will continue until Thursday 28 February, in order to ensure maximum benefit for students, faculty members and staff.
This comes in cooperation with the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Prof. Dr. Khalid Kadri, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Haiam Wahba, under the auspices of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdul Wahab Ezzat, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Sengab, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nazmi Abdul Hamid, Vice President for Environment and Community Services, and Executive Director of Information Technology. A workshop about Microsoft and the services offered by the company to the university in general and the great advantages of the Faculty of Commerce was launched today at Ain Shams University.
The Microsoft team began on Tuesday to hand over all students at the Faculty of Commerce the official email and password, which enables them to access all Microsoft software and services free of charge.
Microsoft's technology officer for the education sector, Ebeid Atef Ebeid, revealed an advantage to all official e-mail users at Ain Shams University, a set of free training or courses to learn how to use all Microsoft programs. Mr. Ebeid, who was lecturing at the workshop, stressed that all faculty students have e-mail and only have to contact the Microsoft team at the faculty or contact an IT unit at the faculty to get it.
Ebeid confirmed that all data on Microsoft software is fully secure and cannot be hacked or lost for any reason, and the space per user is not limited to a certain area.
During the workshop, Ebeid spoke at length about one note program, which provides many advantages to the students of the Faculty of Commerce, especially in arithmetic operations.
He also spoke during the workshop held at the Faculty of Commerce, which aimed at teaching staff members and the supporting body how to use this program to follow up students' work, assign specific duties, distribute information to all students with the click of a button, and how to provide information to a student without mentioning the rest students.
He pointed to the new services that were added to the PowerPoint program in terms of displaying subjects in 3D, in addition to providing the possibility of organizing the subject and suggesting the most prominent titles and axes to be addressed.
In the Faculty of Commerce, the Director of the Digital Library Project and the Director of the Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education Dr. Hani Shaker spoke about the important technological services that were circulated in the Faculty of Specific Education using the official e-mail. He pointed out the great success achieved by this experience, which was supported by the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Amani Hanafi, which prompted a number of faculties to demand the generalization of some of these programs in a number of faculties of Ain Shams University, including the Faculty of Commerce, which will actually activate a number of them.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Khalid Kadri praised the services announced by Microsoft, pointing out the importance of activating these services and using them, and assured the ease of access of students to their personal mail from the Microsoft team immediately.
Prof. Dr. Haiam Wahba expressed her admiration for the services announced by Microsoft, noting the extent to which students are interested in the services provided by the company to make the most of it.
As part of Microsoft's ongoing series of workshops at all faculties of the university, a workshop was held on Tuesday at Faculty of Al Alsun, during which Ebeid stressed that the official e-mail received by the student is not closed after graduating, meaning that he will benefit from Microsoft's free programs even after graduating.
He also talked about the advantages of one note program, which can read any written material from any book or picture in any language, in addition to the possibility to communicate with more than one person at the same time speak more than the language of each language.
