The Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Qadri on the results of the names of students accepted to study in the French Department for the academic year 2021/2022, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Matini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs.
Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadry explained that students who have been accepted must go to the college to pay the prescribed tuition fees and complete the rest of the admission procedures for the department, noting that the last date for paying the prescribed fees is Sunday, September 26th.
Kadry pointed out that the partnership between Ain Shams University and the University of Poitiers in France was made under the partnership agreement between the Faculty of Business - Ain Shams University and the Institute of Corporate Management - University of Poitiers in France in April 2000, where it began to accept a number of no more than 50 students in the French language study program at the Faculty of Business, with courses divided equally between the English language and taught by college professors, and the French language taught by professors seconded from the University of Poitiers.
Since the academic year 2011/2012, the courses of this program have been redistributed, as more than 60% of the courses are taught in French, and the rest of the courses are in English taught by professors of the Faculty of Business at Ain Shams University, with only one course remaining in Arabic to attract students from French-speaking African countries.
Since 2014/2015 academic year, with the increase in the number of those wishing to join the program, the admissions have been increased to 80 students.
The study in the French language department is regular for four years, and one of the advantages of studying in the French language department is pointed out by A. Dr. Khaled Kadri indicated that the graduates of this program obtain a Bachelor of Business from Ain Shams University (Accounting or Business Administration) at the end of the fourth year, and the University of Poitiers, according to the university education system in France, is awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences (LSG) for those wishing to students of the program after passing the year The third in the Faculty of Business with success, in addition to passing the supplementary subject exams organized by the University of Poitiers within the department of the faculty.
This agreement also allows students of the program to obtain a university diploma in management (DUM) from the University of Poitiers after successfully passing the second year of the bachelor’s stage, in addition to a statement of success at the end of the fourth year, for those interested in the program and enrolled at the University of Poitiers, which indicates the passing of the first year of the granted master’s degree in management From the Institute of Corporate Governance - University of Poitiers after passing the exams for the supplementary subjects organized by the University of Poitiers within the department of the faculty.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, signed an agreement on 1/10/2019 that allows distinguished students in the program to obtain excellence grants for about 5 outstanding students annually from the government of France (Eiffel scholarship) and Tahtawy scholarship provided by the French Institute in Cairo in order to complete studies Higher education, whether at the University of Poitiers or any university in France in the same specialization (this number represents about 25% of the total beneficiaries of these grants at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt).
