The Arab-African Council for Agriculture and Partnership for Development held its second meeting at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, with the participation of an elite of Arab and African experts, to discuss supporting all means of cooperation and partnership for development between Arab and African countries and members of the Council as the first economic development bloc, this came in an atmosphere of optimism and hope on the part of the members of the Board of Directors to review the future vision and mechanisms of economic cooperation among all the member states of the Council in preparation for presenting them to the Ministerial Council for approval and approval at the upcoming Arab Summit.
And in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, who welcomed the attendees, Major General Magdy Ali Abul-Magd, Chairman of the Council, Dr. Khaled Shaaban in the General Secretariat of the Council, a group of ambassadors of Arab and African countries or their representatives, and Mrs. Amal Masoud, Vice President of the Radio and Television Union, in addition to the presence of a large group of experts and specialists in the field of agriculture in Egypt and Africa.
The Council affirmed the support of all Arab and African rights in all uses of natural resources for all countries through joint action mechanisms and in accordance with the principles of international laws regulating in this regard without giving priority to the interest of one of the parties, supporting all initiatives aimed at peace and development among all Arab and African peoples, and working to find Long-term and short-term investment opportunities through the Egyptian vision, which is the main pillar supporting the establishment of the Arab-African common market, which depends on the establishment of the first investment fund for the economic market in the Arab and African region to serve sustainable economic development
It also stressed the fruitful and constructive cooperation in the agricultural sector, with the participation of giant agricultural companies, to support the work of the council during its launch period, to start its work with a distinct investment and economic agenda to achieve the council’s set of development goals to achieve national food security for all Arab and African peoples in its comprehensive sense.
