The Department of Russian Language at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Ain Shams University, organized an orientation day for the new first year students in the semester system, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel-Aal, Vice Dean of Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nasr El-Jabali, Head of the Department, taking into account the appling of preventive measures to confront the repercussions of the new corona virus covid19.
During his speech, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nasr El-Gabali, Head of the Department, stressed the importance of studying the Russian language in Egypt and highlighted the joint projects between Egypt and Russia. He also talked about job opportunities available for graduates of the Russian Language Department in the fields of translation, tourism, journalism, and others.
Prof. Dr. Dina Mohamod, professor in the department, explained the Courses offered by the Russian language program, ways of dealing with them, and the importance of refining the abilities of the department's graduates in different aspects of the nature of the public life of Russian society.
Dr. Saeed Ahmed, the Russian language teacher and quality coordinator in the department, pointed out to the students the department's mission and vision and introduced them to the importance of quality education and the standards required to achieve them, as well as the specifications that must be met by the department's graduate.
Dr. Bilal Mustafa, the department's teacher and the field training coordinator, talked about the requirements that the student must have to finish the field training file, as well as the various companies that provide training opportunities for the department's students.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Jabali, Head of the Department, concluded the meeting by answering all the questions raised by the students regarding the study system, books, dictionaries, and others.
