The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the Faculty of Al-Alsun at Ain Shams University is organizing the first introductory meeting for students, entitled "Creativity... is looking at the familiar in an unfamiliar way", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Attia, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Radwa Qteet, Director of the Innovation Unit at the Faculty, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Behairi, Director of the Innovation Center at the university, Prof. Dr. Weam Mahmoud, Deputy Director of the Innovation Center at the Faculty.

Prof. Dr. Salwa Rashad, Dean of the Faculty, said that the first introductory meeting of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the Faculty will be held at 10 am on Thursday, 28 October, in the Interpretation Hall of the Faculty, and aims to provide a comprehensive presentation on the definition of innovation and its importance in university life.

She stressed that innovation is the main output for which universities were established in global societies, and stressed that education within the university walls is completely different from education in schools, as the search for information will become the main concern of the student during his studies, and not just receiving science from teachers.

She added that the students' research approach works to awaken the flame of thinking in the university student's mind, so that he, in turn, uses the sciences he receives and searches for additional information through which to reach results and inventions capable of meeting the requirements of the local, regional and global community as well.

She confirmed that Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, laid down broad lines for developing students’ capabilities and producing students armed with a large amount of skills and research studies, in addition to the sciences they receive at the university, in order to reach levels comparable to international levels in reaching radical solutions, not only to the problems in the community surrounding the university; Rather, anticipate problems before they occur and develop strategic plans based on modern science; To avoid them and invest their negative effects and turn them into positive tools that in turn contribute to the service of society.

“iDiscovery” workshop will also be held on the sidelines of the introductory meeting, aiming to help the attendees discover their passion, their entrepreneurship style, and build an entrepreneurial mindset using some principles of common sense. potential.
