Next week... the implementation of the decision of preventing entry to the university for non-holders of evidence of obtaining the anti-Coronavirus vaccine

The Education and Student Affairs Sector Board of Ain Shams University, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of the University for Sector Affairs, held its regular session, via video conference technology, and in the presence of the representatives of the faculties for sector affairs and members of the Permanent Committee.

Prof. Dr. Abdul-Fattah Saoud began the session congratulated and thanked Prof. Dr. Muhammad Safi, Dean of the Faculty of Law, for assuming the Deanship of the Faculty, praising his efforts throughout his membership of the Permanent Sector Committee throughout the duration of his mandate for education and student affairs at the Faculty of Law.

     
 
     

He also expressed the Board's appreciation and pride in the joining of Prof. Dr. Khaled Hamdi, former Dean of the Faculty of Law, as Chairman of the Standing Committee for Education and Student Affairs.

The Board also congratulated Dr. Hajar Medhat, a teacher in the Italian Language Department at the Faculty of Al-Alsun, for assigning her to run the work of the central administration for expatriate affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Board referred to the celebration of honoring Ain Shams University and receiving the UNESCO Literacy Prize (Confucius), and thanked Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University for his continuous support and great role in advancing this achievement and overcoming all obstacles and pressures that he faced refusing to complete it, and the board valued the efforts of students Ain Shams University, which resulted in the eradication of illiteracy tens of thousands of citizens, and they became the best ambassador for this achievement. Involving university students in the literacy and adult education project, as well as Dr. Islam Al-Saeed, Director of the Adult Education Center at the university, also thanked the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector, headed by Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, who continued the march in this regard in cooperation with the education sector and students.

He pointed out the need for the graduates to continue to support this project by communicating with the Ain Shams University Alumni Association, with the illiteracy eradication project becoming one of the association's important and influential activities.

The board also touched on the achievements of the university theater team and the university choir team, noting that the formation of a start-up company is currently being discussed to manage and invest the talents and achievements of these students in cooperation with the University's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Support Center.

The board also congratulated Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Issam Fayed, professor at the Faculty of Agriculture and former Minister of Agriculture, to choose their honor to be a member of the Supreme Advisory Board of the General Secretariat of the Board of Arab Economic Unity, wishing them success.

The board touched on the university's preparations to start the student union elections marathon amid strict precautionary and preventive measures, pointing out that running in student elections is a training and practical preparation for students to run in public work and develop their ability to give and support the spirit of leadership and public service.

     
 
     

He explained that the university, represented by the Youth Welfare Department, had organized a several leaderships preparation camps for students to adequately prepare them to participate in the public work effectively.

The Board stressed the start of implementing the decision not to enter the university campus for those who do not have proof of receiving the anti-Coronavirus vaccine, as of the beginning of next week.

He directed the deans of faculties and all concerned authorities to follow up the implementation of this decision without complacency.

The Board reviewed the project submitted by Dr. Rana Al-Hilali, Director of the Center for Students with Disabilities, about the development and application of an accessibility guide for students with disabilities, allowing them to facilitate their access to all educational services without discrimination from their healthy peers, and ways for them to access all services provided by the university for students with determination.
