Educational seminars at the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies for Childhood to properly deal with children with special needs

A symposium on "Proper Family Counseling for Dealing with Children with Special Needs" was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Development Affairs and Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Post Graduate Studies for Childhood, under the supervision and organization of Prof. Dr. Randa Kamal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Development Affairs.

Prof. Dr. Gamal Shafek, Professor of Clinical Psychology, Department of Child Psychological Studies, talked about human skills and their relationship to improving psychological adjustment, and Dr. Reham Ahmed Fahim is a teacher of speech pathology at the Department of Pediatric Medical Studies. Proper family guidance for dealing with children with special needs.

     
 
     

This was attended by Prof. Dr. Ehab Eid, Head of the Department of Pediatric Medical Studies and Prof. Dr. Hoda Gamal, Head of the Department of Psychological Studies for Children and Prof. Dr. Hayam Nazif, Professor of Pediatric Medical Studies, former Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Asmaa Al-Jabri, Professor of Psychology, Department of Child Psychological Studies, and a. Dr. Mustafa Al-Nashar, Professor of Pediatric Medical Studies, and Prof. Dr. Hanan El-Gamal, Professor of Pediatric Medical Studies, and Dr. Michel Sobhi, Department of Psychological Studies for Children and Dr. Amal Hamad, Department of Psychological Studies for Children

The seminar was opened by Prof. Dr. Howayda Al-Gebali, Dean of the Faculty, thanks and gratitude to the deputies, faculty members, teachers and the supporting staff for their constant endeavor and continuous support to raise the profile of the faculty; As well as the effective role they play to transfer their experiences through educational seminars that provide researchers with information to increase their knowledge and develop the educational system.

Her Excellency expressed her pride in the cooperation between the various medical, psychological and media specializations in the college, which enhances the college's role in achieving benefits for researchers.

Also Dr. Randa, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that the faculty always seeks to provide more community participations that develop researchers' capabilities and increase their expertise.

It was recommended by Dr. Gamal Shafik in his lecture on human skills and their relationship to improving psychological compatibility, pointing out that the mental health triangle has an effective role in improving psychological compatibility and the three sides must exist and they cannot be separated, when we exclude one of the ribs, mental health collapses.

     
 
     

His Excellency recommended that the individual should give himself the right to provide all means to achieve psychological comfort.

Also Dr. Gamal Shafik stressed the importance of treating others well, giving rights, and not criticizing others and making excuses.

As recommended by Dr. Reham Ahmed, a teacher of speech pathology, in her lecture on proper family guidance to deal with children with special needs, the necessity of the mother’s keenness since pregnancy for the child to acquire his language skills, noting that most of the speech problems come due to the mother’s lack of awareness since birth of noticing her child and going through the basic stages of starting speech Pointing out that stimulating the child's senses has an effective role in acquiring the child's language and developing his skills, as well as integrating the child into an environment where there are other children, in addition to talking to the child with toning since childhood and constantly talking to him in clear sentences.
