A workshop to train female students on how to defend oneself at the Faculty of Archeology

The Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Archeology, organized a workshop to train female students on how to self-defense (Window Workshop), under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mamdouh Al-Damaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archeology for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hend Al-Helali, Director of the Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit.

         
   
         

The workshop aims to provide the students with psychological and physical skills that will help them to deal if they are exposed to any form of violence or harassment while traveling to and from the university campus or in the means of transportation.

The training during the workshop was conducted by Dr. Amani Abdel Aal, a clinical psychologist in the unit.
