Awareness workshops and seminars organized by the Literacy Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education

The Literacy Unit at the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, organized a series of workshops and seminars to educate students, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the College, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Amr Khalil, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Nabi, director of the Literacy Unit, and one of the providers of these workshops and seminars, Dr. Amira Samir teacher, Department of Educational Technology, Dr. Rania Youssef, teacher, Department of Art Education, and Mr. Ahmed Elkomi, Department of Educational Media.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Osama Al-Sayed said that the university in general and the faculty are making societal efforts to contribute to the eradication of the problem of illiteracy by integrating its students into the national project to eradicate illiteracy.

Prof. Dr. Osama explained that today’s workshops revolved around the importance of the national project to eradicate illiteracy and adult education, how to attract the student to the illiterate and create the desire to learn in an appropriate manner and a distinctive method of communication, and how the student can explain the form of the exam that the student will test, in addition to opening the door for dialogue and discussion with students to ask and answer their inquiries, as well as explain the rules regulating them, noting that the project of this project is one of the graduation requirements.
