Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President of Ain Shams University for Education and Student Affairs, the electoral headquarters of the Faculty of Science at the university, on the first day of the electoral entitlement for the student union elections for the academic year 2021-2022, as the student union elections committees at university faculties began to receive students to vote freely and transparently in the first round of elections since nine in the morning.
It was confirmed by Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, that the student union elections are taking place amid strict precautionary and preventive measures, pointing out that running in these elections is a training and preparation for students to engage in public work and develop their ability to give and support the spirit of leadership and public service, praising the organization of committees in faculties and the efforts of the administration of faculties, education agents and students.
His Excellency was accompanied during the tour Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ragaa Al-Sutuhi, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Prof. Dr. Eman Abd El-Azim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the Deans and Vice Deans for Education and Student Affairs also inspected the electoral committees to follow up the workflow and implementation of all precautionary measures, under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Supervising Student Union elections headed by Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and the General Supervisor of the Student Union Elections at the University, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Hisham Al-Hariri, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Tamer Rady, professor at the Faculty of Business and the university's liaison officer, and Mr. Muhammad Al-Khatib, Assistant Secretary for Education and Student Affairs, and Mr. Ibrahim Saeed, Acting Director General of University Cities and Mr. Mohamed Abdel Malik, Director General of Legal Affairs and student Mustafa Rayan in the fourth year of the Faculty of Business, and the student Omniah Ashraf in the third year of the Faculty of Business.

It is noteworthy that 845 male and female students applied to run for the elections since the first day in all faculties, and after the students submitted their appeals and examined them, the final lists of the names of the candidates to run for the elections were announced on Wednesday, 24th November, and the male and female students did the electoral campaigning on Thursday, 25th November, to start today the first round For the elections, the run-off elections will be held tomorrow, and the election schedule will continue according to the timetable set by the Ministry of Higher Education.
