"Techniques of managing a feedback session". A workshop in the Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University

The Faculty of Archeology at Ain Shams University organized a workshop entitled "Feedback session management techniques", under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Mamdouh El-Damaty, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Mona Abd El-Aal, Executive Director of the Education Development Department at the university.

         
   
         

Prof. Dr. Hossam Tantawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Archeology for Education and Student Affairs, said that this workshop was held by the Agency for Education and Student Affairs with video conference via the “Zoom” on Sunday 28/11/2021 at 6 pm., and that it comes in the after the completion of the midterm exams in the Faculty and their correction, and that it targets the faculty staff, the faculty’s assistant staff, and those delegated from abroad.

Dr. Ghada Fayed added that this workshop was carried out in full coordination between the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty and the Central Unit for Measurement and Evaluation at the university affiliated to the Education Development Department within the plan to train the faculty staff of the Faculty on the work and stages of measurement and evaluation, including feedback to students, and aims to identify developments related to the techniques of managing the feeding session to be used by the teaching staff and their assistants when announcing the results of the tests, informing students of the elements of the typical answer to the test, and informing them of the errors contained in the answers to learn from them.

Dr. Reham Attia, a teacher of educational psychology and director of the Central Unit for Measurement and Evaluation at the university, contained, in the training workshop, the concept and elements of the feedback process, and how to manage an effective feedback session to enhance student learning and develop positive attitudes towards the educational process in general, and specializing accurate effects in particular.
