under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini - President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud - Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Amani Osama Kamel - Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Maha Nasr - Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy and Director of the Department of International Relations and Academic Cooperation at the Faculty, organized a symposium on entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical field, and presented by Dr. Omar Shukri Sakr - founder of Nawah Research Company and a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ain Shams University in 2009.
The symposium dealt with his beginning journey, starting with his doctorate in pharmaceutical technology from the University of Geneva and an MBA from Hult Business School in England, to entering the field of business in the pharmaceutical field, and establishing the Nawaat Scientific Company. The symposium included tips on how to transform research into products in the Egyptian market and how to transform ideas into outputs that serve entrepreneurship, as part of a series of Meet our Alumni symposia held by the faculty during the academic year 2021/2022.
The symposium aims to enrich the research and knowledge experiences of faculty staff and students, and to qualify students for the labor market considering the presence of many new fields of work. The symposium was also held via zoom application and by displaying it on the interactive screens in the stands, in the presence of many of faculty staff and students.
