Prof. Dr. Suzan Al-Kellany, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Member of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation announced the launch of the International Annual Conference of the Faculty "Soft Powers and Future Industry" from 23 to 25 March.It includes seven main themes.
Prof. Dr. Suzan Al-Kellany said in her statement that the topics of the conference include 7 main themes: Literature, Arts, Media, Social and Human Sciences, Diplomacy, Education, Educational Sciences, Religious discourse and the relationship of each theme to the industry of the future.
The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University, said that the first day of the conference would be held at Triumph Hotel while the rest of the conference will be held at the conference hall. She added that the second session would be held under the title "Art is a soft power" and chaired by Dr. Hatem Rabie Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Culture.
She continued that the third session will address with the subject of "Literature is a soft power" and chaired the literary critic Dr. Salah Fadl. While the fourth session will discuss the topic "Social Sciences and Humanity as a Soft Power", chaired by Prof. Dr. Hussein Essa, Chairman of the Committee on Planning and Budget in the House of Representatives and former President of Ain Shams University.
Prof. Dr. Suzan Al-Kellany pointed out that the fifth session, "The Religious Discourse is Soft Power," is being conducted by Dr. Mustafa El-Faki, Head of Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Thirty-eight researchers will attend the conference from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Lebanon and Oman.
The conference will be held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Muhtar Mukhtar Guma, Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Inas Abdul Dayem, Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghada Wali, Minister of Social Solidarity and Prof. Dr. Abdul wahab Ezzat, President of Ain Shams University.
