Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Universities, signed a joint cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University and the Federation of Arab Universities, at the university administration headquarters in Al-Zafaran Palace.
This was followed by an inspection tour of the university campus, as well as a visit to the association's headquarters at the university, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Eldamaty, Dean of the Faculty of Archeology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Diaa Zine El Abidine, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Aal, Director of Education Development and Secretary General of the Association, Prof. Dr. Hanan Al-Saeed, Director of the Blended Learning Center, Prof. Dr. Hanan Kamel, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Arts for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Nasser Abdel Aal, Vice Dean of Faculty of Al-Alsun for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sahar Dowidar, director of the central unit for the development of curricula and teaching methods, and Dr. Reham Attieh, director of the central unit for measurement and evaluation.
The protocol includes hosting Ain Shams University (the Scientific Society for Measurement and Evaluation) and establishing a headquarters for it, based on the decision of the General Conference of the Association of Arab Universities.
The Scientific Society for Measurement and Evaluation is considered a pioneer and internationally accredited in testing and metrology, providing consultancy and raising the level of the measurement and evaluation system in Arab universities in line with the latest technological developments, spreading the culture of measurement and evaluation, providing integrated solutions to develop the system in Arab universities, raising the efficiency of faculty members and preparing scientific and executive cadres to develop the process Evaluation.
The association also aims to spread awareness of the culture of measurement and evaluation in Arab universities through the establishment of training programs for faculty members and workshops in the field of measurement and evaluation. Building and approving measurement and evaluation standards in the Association of Arab Universities, Developing the measurement and evaluation system, and using the latest technological methods in building question banks and electronic tests in a manner that harmonizes students’ abilities while setting up a mechanism for managing and automating exam papers, in addition to encouraging scientific research and joint research and exchanging its results and linking applied research topics in The field of measurement and evaluation and encouraging the establishment of entities (departments - units - research centers) specialized in the field of measurement and evaluation in Arab universities, in addition to strengthening cooperation and exchanging experiences between member colleges and institutes through holding seminars and conferences specialized in the field of measurement and evaluation, joint supervision of scientific messages and the exchange of scientific visits and research publications in the field of measurement and Evaluation.
