The Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit at Ain Shams University organized a workshop at the Faculty of Nursing, as part of a series of workshops held by the unit to define its objectives and mechanisms and how to deter forms of violence, harassment and bullying at the university, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Sahar Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and the supervision of a. Dr.. Hiam Refaat, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, in the presence of a group of unit consultants and Prof. Amani Shaheen, Secretary of the Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Sahar Mousa, Dean of the Faculty, said that holding such seminars and workshops at the Faculty aims to develop the communication skills of female students, female workers and faculty members, and teach them how to manage and deal with cases of violence and harassment, as the phenomenon of harassment is one of the worst forms and forms of violence against women, emphasizing the constructive role of the university in confronting such images through the University's Anti-Violence and Harassment Unit and holding several workshops and seminars urging students and staff on how to deal with any form of violence and bullying one of them may be exposed to.
Prof. Dr. Hend Al-Helaly, Director of the Unit, during the introductory symposium that preceded the workshop, clarified the nature of the unit, its objectives, activities, mechanisms and strategies for working in it and service packages in it, and how cases of harassment, violence and bullying are transferred from specialists in the faculty to the university and the role it plays, in addition to the services it provides.
As indicated by Prof. Dr. Hend Al-Helaly to the role of the university in taking all measures and how to deal with cases that have been subjected to violence, bullying or harassment from the psychological and social aspect, and how these cases are transferred to the unit to take the necessary legal measures through the Legal Committee and the Psychological Support Committee, as well as the Training and Capacity Development Committee and the Committees for People with Disabilities and the Social Entrepreneurship Committee.

Moreover, Prof. Dr. Amani Abdel Aal, the clinical psychological consultant in the unit inside the workshop talked on how to manage the case and how to deal with it from listening and dealing with myself so that the cases can train themselves and gain the internal psychological energy that makes them able to overcome and challenge what happened to them through their participation in crisis management workshops and workshops Art therapy and psychodrama, and workshops to develop psychological and artistic abilities for self-defense.
