The central e-learning unit organized online training sessions on the virtual microscope system, the platform of virtual slides and high-resolution images, starting with activating the platform and integrating it into the students’ courses on the ASU2Learn e-learning platforms under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Mona Abdel-Aali, Executive Director of the Education Development Department.
The training included faculty staff from various university faculties and scientific and theoretical disciplines such as the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Science, Girls, Education, Arts, Agriculture and Archeology.
The training was organized by Dr. Dalia Youssef, Director of the Central Unit for E-Learning, stated that this system allows scanning and uploading of glass slides to the platform, as well as uploading high-resolution images, maps, plans, locations and images of artifacts to the platform and sharing them to students through the e-learning platform.
