Techniques of formulating multiple-choice questions... Workshops at the Faculty of Education

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hazem Rashid, Dean of the Faculty of Education - Ain Shams University, and organized by the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, four workshops were held in cooperation with the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and the Central Unit for Measurement and Evaluation at the university affiliated with the Education Development Department entitled: “Techniques of Formulating Choice Questions” The first workshop was held for the departments of basic sciences (chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics) with the attendance of 155 members, and the second workshop was for the departments of educational sciences (psychology, curricula, principles of education, comparative education, educational administration, mental health and special education) in the presence of 88 members, It was attended by members of the social sciences and humanities departments (history, geography, philosophy and sociology) with the presence of 67 members, and the last workshop for the languages ​​departments (English, German, Arabic and French) was held with the attendance of 87 members.

         
   
         

The workshops were conducted electronically via the Zoom application, wisely managed and organized by Dr. Hani Nady, director of the e-learning unit.

The outputs of the workshops were:

Develop a drive on the faculty platform with the names of the seventeen departments, and assigning the program and department coordinators in the college to upload all files and specialized forms that benefit members in formulating questions.

Make a video of all the activities of the workshops and uploading it to the drive.

Create a file that includes the necessary criteria for formulating objective questions as well as common errors and uploading it to the drive.

Create a file with all the links and specialized websites for question banks and how to build them.

Noting all members to start designing question banks and applying the outputs of the workshops.
