A cooperation protocol between Ain Shams University Hospitals and General Electric Egypt

In the context of caring for the health of the Egyptian citizen, and in light of the implementation of the presidential initiative of Ain Shams Medical City, Ain Shams University signed a cooperation protocol with General Electric Egypt to train doctors, technicians and specialists to reach the highest international levels, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Omar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board of Directors.

The protocol was signed by Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Anwar, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals, and Engineer Mohamed Haroun, General Manager of General Electric Egypt.

The two-year training program includes several stages in various disciplines, which contributes to improving the medical services provided to citizens, raising the level of health care they receive to be at the highest level, and advancing the health system in university hospitals to be comparable to international university hospitals.

The protocol signing ceremony witnessed by Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef, Deputy Executive Director of University Hospitals and Director of the Hospital for Surgery, Prof. Dr. Sahar El-Feki, Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Head of the Radiology Department, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Samir, Professor of Diagnostic Radiology, Director of the Cardiac Radiology Unit, and Head of Equipment at Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Aya Yassin, Assistant Professor of Radiology, Equipment Officer and Training Program Coordinator at Ain Shams University, Mr. Moataz Mohamed, Director of Government Sector Sales at General Electric, Mr. Mohamed Emad, Director of Ain Shams University Sales, and Mr. Ahmed Al Maddah, Director of Maintenance Sales.
