Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the electronic tests for students of the fourth year of the Faculty of Nursing started today, which were conducted in the laboratories of the Faculty of Al-Alsun.
Where Prof. Dr. Sahar Musa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sahar Yassin, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Education and Student Affairs, conducted an inspection tour for the examination laboratories held under the supervision and attendance of Prof. Dr. Mona Abdel Aal, Director of the Education Development Department at the university, Dr. Reham Attia, Director of the Central Unit for Measurement and Evaluation, Dr. Magdy Shaaban, Director of the University's Electronic Test Center, Prof. Dr. Fatma Atta, Director of the Electronic Services Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, and Prof. Dr. Asmaa Abdel Rahman, Director of the Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the Faculty.
During the tour, Prof. Dr. Sahar Musa was assured of the proper functioning of the exams and the availability of all the necessary equipment to complete the electronic exams at the highest levels of technical competence. She also directed the removal of any obstacles facing the students while applying all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the safety of students, observers and all those responsible for exam work.
She explained that the Faculty of Nursing conducts electronic exams in accordance with the strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with regard to the expansion of the dissemination of the culture of digital transformation, and the actions taken by Ain Shams University in the development of assessment and examination systems to improve the outcomes of the educational process and achieve justice and transparency in student evaluation.
Prof. Dr. Sahar Musa indicated that the electronic exams last for two weeks, with 480 students in the fourth year taking the exams, pointing out that the students of the Faculty of Nursing are taking the electronic exams for the third year in a row.
Prof. Mona Abdel-Al indicated that the electronic exams are a step to achieve the vision of Ain Shams University towards automating the examination process in the rest of the faculties.
Dr. Reham Attia, Director of the Central Unit for Measurement and Evaluation, and Dr. Magdy Shaaban, Director of the University's Electronic Test Center, added that these tests come as the first step to achieve Ain Shams University's vision of digitizing the measurement and evaluation system and the exam process in preparation for activating question banks and electronic correction in all university faculties.
