As part of the Faculty of Specific Education, Ain Shams University, for the better, the faculty established the first animation unit at the university and seeks to produce the first cartoon film for children, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Abdel-Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Hesham Tamraz, Vice President for Environmental Affairs and Community Service, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Osama El-Sayed, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Amal Nasr El-Din Suleiman, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit iHub at the faculty, and Prof. Dr. Noha Mustafa, Head of the Art Education Department, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil, Head of the Educational Media Department. and Prof. Dr. Dalia Hussein, Head of the Music Education Department.
Within this framework, the work team implemented a series of workshops represented in the “first workshop of Ms. Ala’a Shemy Character Designer”, which aimed to present the principles and foundations of drawing, design, composition of colors and the principles of drawing characters for animation and the foundations of their design, which are related to the psychological and social foundations of the psychological formation of the personality. And the principles of preparing them for movement on computer programs as a prelude to constructing animated graphics scenes. At the end of the workshop, the students drew and designed innovative characters from their imagination or transferred from existing cartoon characters, in the presence of Dr. Mona Sami, an official Story Board and Dr. Manal Sarhan is the character designer.
As for the second workshop, 2D Animator, it was prepared and implemented by M. Hossam Salah El-Din, a teaching assistant in the Department of Education Technology, to learn the basics of motion and how rigging works and preparing the movement joints of the character to prepare them for motion, with the participation of Mr. Ahmed Wageh, assistant teacher, Department of Art Education, and a. Muhammad Shaybah, an assistant teacher in the Department of Education Technology, for designing scenes backgrounds on the computer.
The third workshop was to train students for vocal performance and dubbing, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Nabil, professor of theatrical arts, writer and author of the cartoon series, and head of the educational media department, in the radio recording studio, with the participation of Mr. Osama Edward and Mr. Ahmed Al-Koumi, teaching assistants at the department, and Mr. Ibrahim Ahmed Mustafa, the recording official in the radio recording studio, with the participation of students from the Department of Educational Technology and the Department of Educational Media.
Dr. Mostafa Amin, an educational technology teacher, will document and photograph the reality of the series' environment and prepare the series' chords inspired by the realistic melodies of the series' environment, Dr. Marwa Amr Abdel Moneim, a violin teacher in the Department of Musical Arabic, will prepare the series' chords inspired by the realistic melodies of the series' environment and soundtrack.
