Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Saleh, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr. Khaled Kadri, Dean of the Faculty and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba, Professor of Investment and Finance and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, the Faculty of Business, in cooperation with the International Institute of Certified Accountants (IMA), held an introductory seminar to qualify the faculty’s affiliates to obtain the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate.
Prof. Dr. Hayam Wahba stated that the symposium will be given by Rishi Malhotra, Academic Director and Community Relations for the Middle East and Africa at IMA.
She added that the CMA certificate covers several topics, including: financial statement analysis, financial control, cost accounting, and risk management, and that the Certified Management Accountant certificate represents a global standard for accountants and financial experts in the business sector. The two-part exam covers 12 basic areas of accounting practice. The certificate gives accountants greater credibility and the opportunity to achieve higher incomes and gain a prominent position in senior management.
She explained that the faculty, through communicating with IMA, annually offers 10 free scholarships to obtain the CMA certificate, and that the opening of the scholarship application will be announced soon.
It is worth noting that the CMA certificate is one of the important means for those interested in developing their career in the world of accounting and finance and would like to join a global network of more than 100,000 professionals in this sector.
