After a very fierce competition that lasted for six consecutive hours between fourteen research teams from the Faculty of Science students in the final stage of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Science, under the title "Innovative Solutions for a New Republic", 3 teams from the Faculty of Science won by competition.
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Metini, President of Ain Shams University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Fattah Saoud, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Mohamed El-Sotohi, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and the implementation and supervision of Dr. Islam Adly, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the Faculty of Science, whose activities were held Seminar hall, Faculty of Science.
Everyone, starting with the jury and the attending professors, was impressed by the quality and seriousness of the presented research projects, which were admired and proud by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ragaa Al-Sutohi, who decided to encourage the winning Faculty students by rewarding them with financial prizes in recognition of their efforts and excellence.
He also stressed the importance of this event, which is one of the most important events witnessed by the Faculty of Science this year.
His Excellency praised the distinguished role of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the faculty under the leadership of Dr. Islam Adly, the diligent director of the center and a teacher in the Department of Entomology.
Dr. Islam Adly, the director of the center, announced the first three places in the competition, which won this position after very fierce competition with the rest of the teams. His Excellency pointed out that the quality of the other projects that did not get the first three places was also good, but in a humorous saying, he said, "How can we choose The brightest star among all these bright stars in the sky of the Faculty of Science."
His Excellency explained that this competition resulted in the winning of each of the following teams, who were distinguished by their research projects, their method of presentation of information, communication skills, and organized scientific thinking. The first place was taken by the Scientific Environmentalist Team, which is made up of students of the fourth year in the Department of Chemistry. They are the student Muhammad Hassan, the student Fatima Mustafa, the student Youssef Ahmed and the student Abanob Maher and under the scientific supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hai, professor of physical chemistry at the faculty.
In second place came the Powerpuff girls team, consisting of students of the second year of the applied biotechnology program, Habiba Wael, Hanan Tarek, Reem Ibrahim, Sarah Sami, Maryam Nagy, and Mennatullah Muhammad, under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Gamal Mustafa, teaching assistant in the Department of Geology.
The Lead Hulks team came in third place, consisting of Aya Samir Ahmed from the Department of Zoology, Basant Mahmoud from the Department of Biochemistry, and Abdul Rahman Salah Abdullah, a graduate of the Department of Biochemistry, under the supervision of Dr. Karim Mohamed Al-Saeed, a teacher in the Department of Zoology.
Dr. Islam Adly, Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the faculty, thanked everyone who supported and made sure that this competition came out in such a successful manner, which reflects the image of an ancient faculty and university whose leadership was keen to be among the ranks of Egyptian, African and international universities.
His Excellency thanked the faculty administration represented by His Excellency Dean/Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Mohamed Al-Sutohi and the faculty representatives for the full support that took place. He also thanked the jury and members of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the faculty. His Excellency hoped that the competition next year would be at a higher level to keep pace with the pace of development that is taking place at our prestigious Ain Shams University.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ragaa Mohamed Al-Sutouhi, Dean of the Faculty, also wished success for the qualified teams for the Ain Shams Innovate competition, emphasizing that full support would be provided to them to represent the Faculty of Science and Ain Shams University in an honorable way.
