Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reviewed a report submitted by Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, regarding the meeting of the Supreme Council for Education and Student Affairs at the Suez Canal University headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of the University, and Dr. Ayman Ashour, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for University Affairs, and members of the Council.
For its part, the Council thanked the family of Suez Canal University for hosting the activities of the meeting of the Supreme Council for Education and Student Affairs, wishing it further progress and prosperity in the performance of its noble mission.
During its meeting, the council discussed the universities’ achievements in the education and student affairs sector for the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022 regarding the preparation of training courses; To rehabilitate the academic community in the face of violence, extremism and corruption, and implement the university’s plan in student activities, digital transformation, in addition to the services provided to students with disabilities, as well as the project to rehabilitate those who are about to marry (mourning), and the services provided to students who are beneficiaries of the (Solidarity and Dignity) project.
The council also reviewed reports on the areas of student exchange between universities; To inculcate the spirit of affection, brotherhood, and exchange of cultures.
The council agreed to hold a computing and artificial intelligence forum for students of the Egyptian computer faculties at Kafrelsheikh University next May; To discover and develop young talents, and serve the community in the field of artificial intelligence applications and smart systems.
The Council also agreed to hold the fourth scientific conference for students of universities and government and private institutes at Damietta University, from May 11-12, under the title "Future Scientists (5)." Art exhibition of students' work.
The Council was informed of the holding of Olympiads for students of faculties of physical education in Egyptian universities from March 17-20 at Sohag University, and the organization of the first summit forum for Egyptian universities at Benha University, “The House of Representatives Simulation Model... Egypt 2030” from March 27-30, under the auspices of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
